Chef Paddy Rawal offers a Mystical Culinary Journey
Through India in His Second Cookbook: Curry, Korma &
SANTA FE, New Mexico, June 21, 2016
Executive Chef and owner of Raaga/Modern Indian Cuisine
in Santa Fe, is releasing Curry, Korma & Kebab, A
Culinary Journey of India. This, his second cookbook, is
a celebration of the best in Indian cooking featuring
recipes that are
not the usual
restaurant fare. These delicacies, though exotic, are
easy to make and are a veritable home cook’s delight.
The art of Indian cooking is looked upon as providing a
greater enjoyment of life, an aesthetic awareness as
well as a material one. Indian cooking is a science and
an art, highly vivid and appealing to the senses. The
colors, flavors, and aromas make it a brilliant, even
enchanting, cuisine. The blending of spices, herbs and
seasonings with a single protein is mesmerizing and
accounts for its outstanding and unique character. More
than just a cookbook, Curry, Korma & Kebab is also a
culinary journal. The recipes are an adventure into 20
cities in the four regions of India, many off the beaten
track, offering a rare glimpse into areas worth
exploring even if only from our kitchens.
Curry, Korma & Kebab is a 272 page hardcover publication
with 250 recipes, and over 100 delectable color
photographs. It arrives July 15, and will be available
exclusively at Raaga for guests, patrons and the
community of Santa Fe for $33.
